All workplaces will need to be proactive and prepare to restart. Layout changes and contacts tracking are the new normal. Occupational health and safety regulations will change eventually, but the leaders will make the first rules. This is also the time to integrate Environment, Health, Safety and Quality. We have done the mistake of treating them separately, but let us now bring them together. The human factors management is another usually ignored domain. We don’t realize that the best plans and processes will fail with the inevitable human factors of rushing, frustration and complacency. Now there are scientific and tech-assisted ways to manage human factors. The benefits are enormous in terms of better safety and higher quality.
